Hungry for Art Festival: Art Trail, May 24th 2015

The Australian Cartoonists' Association (ACA) is proud to once again participate in the Hungry for Art Festival organized by the Ryde Council.

Members of the ACA will be present at two events, a Pop Up Event on the 9th of May and the Art Trail on the 24th of May 2015.

Brief Bio: Rob Feldman is a Sydney-based Comic Artist / Cartoonist whose recent book ' Cartoons, Comics. and Cows in Cars' has been hailed as a "Must Read' book by Rob Feldman ( and he should know ) His work, which has appeared in newspapers, magazines, and in the margins of his school maths books, has been described as off-the-wall , quirky and original ( apart, of course, from his plagiarised work ) and covers a broad range from single panel gags and spoof 'How-Tos', generally ludicrous adventure comics, and Life Itself observations.

Brief Bio: Paul Caggegi is a Sydney-based illustrator. He has contributed art to a wide variety of publications, and is the brains behind Pandeia: a sci-fi adventure comic set in Earth's distant future. Paul appears at most local conventions selling his books, poster and drawing commissions on site.

Brief Bio: HAYDEN FRYER is a Blue Mountains (Sydney, Australia) based cartoonist, illustrator, writer and founder of the boutique comics publisher, SIBERIAN PRODUCTIONS. Hayden's most recognised work, "BILLY: DEMON SLAYER" and the recently released "DARKEST NIGHT" comic series are a part of a set of uniquely stylised sequential works which have, and continue to see print in dozens of publications both here, in Australia and abroad."

Cartoonist: Steve Panozzo

Brief Bio: Steve Panozzo's caricatures first appeared in The Manly Daily in 1985. Since then he has worked for newspapers in both Sydney and Perth, including a decade at The Australian. He is currently the
resident cartoonist at the Australian Journal of Pharmacy. Steve served as President of the Australian Cartoonists Association in 1992-93 and again in 1998-99. In 2010, he was awarded the Jim Russell Award for his outstanding contribution to Australian cartooning.

Brief Bio: Comicoz is committed to preserving a permanent collection of Australian comics and cartoon strips by publishing books and magazines. Comicoz aims to recognise comics' contribution to and depiction of our Australian culture.

Cartoonist: Tony Kentuck

Brief Bio: Started Cartooning in the British army, came to Australia in the ’60’s to further my ambitions re Cartooning. Put cartooning on hold due to lack of opportunities. Re entered the Cartooning business in 1980 whilst living in Perth, as a freelancer on The Sunday Times, Community News Papers and Penthouse. Returned to Sydney in 1987 and progressed from there.
